TINY LIBRARIES ON STATE STREET

September 5th, 2019

Join us for the grand opening of the Tiny Libraries on State Street during the 1st Thursday Art Walk!

Santa Barbara Poet Laureate Laure-Anne Bosselar will be kicking off the evening with a poem and we will hear from artist Douglas Lochner who created the sculptures at the Hashtag on Anacapa in front of First Republic Bank. Stroll through downtown and enjoy activities at the other Tiny Libraries, including:

Question Mark on Victoria in front of Starbucks: Ask a librarian anything! And learn all about the free resources and collections available at the library.

Ampersand at Anacapa in front of Old Navy: Screen print your own bookmark with Print Power.

Exclamation Points at Carrillo: Get a personalized book recommendation from a librarian, and kids can enjoy a storytime.

Percent Sign at Canon Perdido: Join local artist Simon Kiefer in making your own ex libris book plate using vintage typewriters.

Event Type(s): Library Program
Age Group(s): All Ages
